Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®)
UC Irvine Medical Education Simulation Center is now endorsed by the American Society of Anesthesiologists® to provide Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®) simulation training. Our simulation course fulfills one requirement of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s (ABA) Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program (MOCA®) Part IV.
Simulation Instructor Training Course
An intensive 2-day instructor course designated for healthcare simulation instructors designed to combine elements of theory, practice, and immersive experiential learning focusing on simulation as a teaching tool.
ACLS and BLS
A self-paced online and skills practice course approved by the American Heart Association (AHA) for certification in ACLS and BLS.
Simulation Operations and Programming Courses
One, two, or three day courses are being offered to give users and programmers an understanding of how to program scenarios using Laerdal, Meti, or Gaumard software. Participants will also obtain a basic understanding of manikin capabilities and how to run simulation sessions.

OCT 1	Dr. Suzanne Strom, Associate Director of the center, and Ceci Canales, Director of Operations for the center, will be teaching simulation with other instructors from around the country at the annual meeting of the American Society of Anesthesiologists in Washington, DC.
